About NOM

NOM (Nationaal Onderzoek Multimedia) is responsible for carrying out and reporting the national readership figures for daily newspapers and magazines. It reports average issue readership (AIR), which is a currency for newspapers and magazines in The Netherlands and the average circulationfigures and digital censusdata of newspapers, magazines and business magazines. NOM is organized as a Joint Industry Committee (JIC), consisting of four participant organisations: NDP Nieuwsmedia (the association of newspapers), NUV Groep Publiekstijdschriften (association of periodical press), BVA (association of advertisers) and PMA (association of media-buying agencies). NOM was founded in 2001.

NOM print readership survey has been integrated with digital readership results from NOBO

NOM is a Joint Idustry Committee wich mission it is to provide the currency for media planning of newspapers and magazines on any platform, paper as well as website and apps. NOM commissions the national readership survey NOM Print Monitor (NPM) to maesure the readership of printed editions. To capture total brand readership of both printed editions and online  platforms, NPM has been integrated with the digital readership results from NOBO, which passively measures the online media usage in a  panel.

The next NOM Mediamerken will be published in April 2018. The NOM mediamerken will be updated each quarter from then.
